"Turned up to a new venue with zero knowledge of the water. Within 20 minutes I'd mapped a shelf at 4m and a weed line at the far margin. Caught two fish that session, gives good info.."

"I was sceptical. I've seen plenty of these on social media and thought it was just hype. Setup took about two minutes, you basically turn it on and it connects and is ready. The display is clear and the wireless connection didn't drop once"

"Was nervous about the price - you read some horror stories about cheap fish finders. But the build feels solid, charging and set up is straightforward and it's been in and out of the water on four sessions with no issues. Really happy with it"

    Callum B. Verified Buyer

Stop Guessing. Start Fishing with a Plan.

The GRYD Scout Pro turns any unfamiliar water into readable structure - giving you the depth, contour, and vegetation data serious anglers fish to, not around.

Read the Lakebed, Not Just the Fish

Know what's down there before you cast. The Scout Pro maps drop-offs, bars, and weed lines in real time. Ten minutes with the sensor tells you more than a full day of guesswork.

No Phone App. No Connection Drops.

Power it on, throw in the sensor, read the water. No phone. No setup ritual. No dropped connection mid-session.

    Find Structure, Find Fish

Drop-offs, hard bottom transitions, and temperature breaks tell you exactly where to place your rig. Put your bait precisely where it needs to be.

    100m Wireless Range

Read the bar at 40m, the shelf at 60m, the channel running through the middle. Up to 100m of reliable wireless range — all from the bank.

    • Finally know what's under my water

Been fishing the same lake for four years. Thought I knew it well. First session with the Scout Pro I found a drop off at 9 metres I had absolutely no idea existed. That's where they were sitting the whole time.

    • Game changer for new water

Turned up to an unfamiliar syndicate with zero local knowledge. Twenty minutes with the sensor and I had two shelves, a gravel bar and a weed line all mapped out. Nothing else I own has changed my approach like this.

      James R. - Verified Buyer

    • Replaced my marker rod setup

Sold my marker rod after two sessions with this. Maps the bottom faster, gives me more information, and I don't need a spare rod on the rest. The contour reading is sharp and easy to interpret even for someone new to fish finders.

      Lee B. - Verified Buyer

    • Was sceptical. Not anymore.

I'm one of those anglers who always said fish finders from the bank were unnecessary. My mate lent me his for a session. I ordered the GRYD that same night. The bottom contour detail alone changed my mind completely.

      Rob S. - Verified Buyer

    • Worth every penny

Went back and forth on the price for a few weeks. Wish I'd just bought it sooner. Paid for itself in information on the very first session. If you fish new water regularly or want to actually understand what's in front of you, just buy it.

      GRYD vs Others

      • Step 1: Power On & Cast

Power on the handset. Connect your line & throw the sensor into the water. It activates automatically on contact. No pairing, no app, no setup ritual.

      • Step 2: Retrieve & Read

Slowly reel the sensor back in. As it moves through the water, the display builds a real-time picture of the bottom - depth, contour, weed lines, and structure appearing live on screen.

      • Step 3: Place Your Rig With Confidence

You've seen the drop-off. You know where the shelf is. Now put your bait exactly where it needs to be - and fish with intent, not hope.

        Frequently Asked Questions

A marker rod tells you what's at one spot - once you've cast, found a feature, and clipped up. The Scout Pro shows you the entire bottom contour of your swim in a single retrieve, covering far more water far more quickly. Drop-offs, shelves, gravel bars, weed lines - all mapped live on screen before you've even set a rod up. It doesn't replace every element of a marker rod setup, but for reading and understanding new water quickly, it does the job faster and with significantly more detail.

The key difference is the standalone display. App-based finders require a phone, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi pairing, and are vulnerable to connection drops, battery drain on your phone, and slow setup. The Scout Pro has its own built-in colour screen - power on and it works automatically.

The sensor is water-activated. Two contact pins on the base of the sensor detect water conductivity. When the sensor enters the water, it powers on automatically. When removed, the sensor will shortly turn off automatically. There is no manual on/off button on the sensor itself.

The sensor detects water depth from 0.8m to 50m. The wireless range between sensor and handset is 100m under normal conditions, and up to 200m in optimum open-water conditions.

No. The Scout Pro has a built-in colour display on the handset. There is no app, no Bluetooth (and no connection drops), and no phone required.

The handset charges via Micro USB (5V). The sensor charges via a DC cable — both are included. A red LED indicates charging is in progress; the LED turns off when fully charged. Do not charge either unit if there is water inside. If the battery indicator on the handset flashes, stop fishing and charge before the next session.

Yes. Sonar works on sound waves, not light - water clarity makes no difference to the reading. Coloured, murky, or heavily silted water will not affect the sensor's ability to read depth and bottom contour.

The unit operates down to -10°C. Below that temperature the internal sensor will stop transmitting the sonar pulse. For standard winter bank fishing in UK conditions it will perform normally.
